Melbourne adamant they’re dealing with off-field issues, plus the latest on Clayton Oliver
Alan Richardson is adamant Melbourne doesn’t have its head in the sand over several issues engulfing the club.
The Demons have been in the headlines for months, with Clayton Oliver’s off-field issues as well as drug allegations being levelled against Joel Smith.
On top of that, gun midfield Angus Brayshaw was forced into a shock early retirement as a result of multiple concussions.

“I can confidently say we are not putting our heads in the sand (on several issues),” Richardson told Sam McClure on Wide World of Sports.
“Clayton Oliver is going really well, he’s back out there with teammates and he’s as healthy as we’ve seen him in a very long time.”
