Mick slams “ridiculous” Grand Final proposal

Mick Warner isn’t a fan of a best of three Grand Final series.

The proposal has again been floated this week in a NBA-style system where multiple games would be played in a Grand Final series.

The Herald Sun footy writer said teams should only get one crack at winning a flag.

“The idea of three Grand Finals surely is ridiculous,” he said

“First of all, where are we going to play these extra games, Oaks or Derby Day?.

“You only get one chance to win a premiership and that’s on the last Saturday in September.”
