Neil Mitchell has hit out at the “halfwits” who set off flares and stormed barriers at the Matildas vs England live site at Federation Square.

Neil Mitchell says “the fully fledged organised hooligan soccer idiots last night did a great deal to undermine everything the magnificent Matildas have achieved”.

“You have damaged your sport significantly, you idiots!,” he said.

Fifty flares were let off, and the Federation Square live site for the Matildas’ third-place playoff may not go ahead as a result of the poor behaviour.
