Neil Mitchell takes aim at ‘greedy, wasteful’ government as taxes soar

Neil Mitchell has hit out at the Andrews government for showing “no respect for integrity and no respect for our money”, after new stats revealed Victorians are slugged with more taxes than their interstate counterparts.

Victorians paid an average of $5631 to local and state government in 2021-22 — a 24.6 per cent increase on the previous year.

“So, Premier, why are the hospitals falling down if you’re taking all this money out of our pockets?,” Neil Mitchell questioned.

“This is a greedy, wasteful government.”
