Neil Mitchell is calling on the state government to step in and demand answers from Ambulance Victoria.

“I believe we have a crisis developing in Ambulance Victoria … it’s a crisis which undermines the very role of the ambulance service,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

Yesterday, Neil Mitchell confirmed Ambulance Victoria had spent $500,000 on a contract to help determine organisational values. Today, he’s learnt of a $438,872 contract to provide advice on human resource management design services.

“They’re paying close to a million dollars on these two contracts to Deloitte in a matter of months to do work I think they should be doing themselves!,” Neil Mitchell said.

“We need this service to work the best it can. We need to keep the ambos well equipped, and well supported, and happy, and satisfied — we need them!”
