Neil Mitchell’s morning at the Victoria Police Academy
The Victoria Police Academy is turning out more officers than ever before, with 3000 recruits going through over five years.
“We are at the academy because hopefully the thin blue line is getting fatter,” Neil said.
3AW Mornings spoke with Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton, the head of the academy, as well as some young recruits about to begin their careers.
Program producer Samantha Lowcock was put through her paces, attempting restraining techniques and taking part in drills on the parade ground.
