New Australian trade logo revealed after previous design dumped due to COVID likeness
A new nation brand and tagline have been revealed to sell Australia internationally.
It comes after the old wattle-inspired logo, which cost taxpayers $10 million when it was designed in 2020, was dumped for looking like the COVID-19 virus.

The new logo features a gold kangaroo above the word ‘Australia’.
A new tagline, ‘Only in Australia’, has also been launched.
Consumer psychologist from Thinkerbell, Adam Ferrier, says it’s a good logo because it’s simple and “unmistakably Australian”.
“The reason we have this is so we can present a unified voice of what Australia is, and how Australia looks, and how Australia acts, and by doing that you’re helping every little supplier,” he said.
