New North Melbourne captain confident club will take ‘quantum leap’ in 2026

North Melbourne’s new captain isn’t shying away from expectations at the club heading into next season.

Nick Larkley was announced as the new Roos skipper earlier this week, taking over from Jy Simpkin.

“We want to improve drastically and make a quantum leap in 2026,” he told Jimmy Bartel on Wide World of Sports.

“So at the end of 2026, look at the year and go ‘yes we clearly made big improvements’, rather than just more small wins.”
