North Melbourne captain full of praise for recruiting ‘steal’

North Melbourne captain Jack Ziebell says he’s still scratching his head as to how the club ended up with Hugh Greenwood.

But he couldn’t be happier he’s at Arden Street.

Greenwood joined the Roos in the off-season following a shock departure from the Gold Coast Suns.

Ziebell told 3AW he’d already made a big mark at his new club.

“He was an absolute steal,” he said.

“I’m not sure how he has landed at Arden Street, to be completely honest with you.

“He’s been unbelievable in his first pre-season with the club and fitted in with all his new teammates.

“You can tell why he’s such a revered player in the competition.”

And, in an ominous warning, Ziebell said Greenwood appeared fitter than he’d ever been.
