‘Not a good look’: Matthew Richardson’s thoughts on Tom Lynch’s hit

Richmond great Matthew Richardson said Tom Lynch’s hit on Jordan Butts was a “throw back to a bygone era”, but backed in his future at the club beyond 2025. 

The Richmond forward was rubbed out for five weeks, with the club confirming on Wednesday they wouldn’t be appealing the tribunal’s sentence.

“It wasn’t a good look, you can’t have kids seeing it,” Richo said on 3AW Drive.

The Tigers great said Lynch still has an “important role” to play in the side, but he must “lower his expectations” to perform moving forward.
