Former Sun Dion Prestia has sympathy for Tom Lynch.

Suns captain Lynch told his teammates this week he will seek a move back to Victoria, as Prestia did when he joined Richmond at the end of 2016.

The injured Tiger midfielder told 3AW Football he knows how tough the decision is.

“At the end of the day, I looked after myself and what was best for my career,” Prestia said before Richmond’s clash with Geelong.

“Hopefully Tom has made the best decision for himself.”

Prestia said it’d be “awesome” if Lynch joined him at the Tigers.

“There’s one spot we’re missing, and that’s a big centre half forward,” he said.
