“Paranoid” Melbourne president bans Caro from function

Melbourne president Glen Bartlett has told his club to uninvite leading football journalist Caroline Wilson from a breakfast function she was due to speak at.

Tom Morris asked Wilson on Tuesday if that was true, which she confirmed.

Wilson was due to speak at the Demons media event for the 20th year, however, has clearly done something to get the Melbourne president offside.

She received a call from Melbourne’s media department this week, informing her she was no longer invited.

“I think Glen’s being paranoid – I can’t understand it,” Caroline Wilson said.

“In all these years, I don’t think I’ve been banned from any club function.

“Even Essendon kept asking me to their women’s lunch during the drugs scandal.”
