Perth’s mayor makes a promise to Melburnians about the AFL Grand Final
Perth’s mayor says Western Australia will treat the AFL Grand Final with the “respect” it deserves after the biggest game of the footy season was again stripped from the MCG due to COVID-19.
It’s going to be played at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
Basil Zempilas told Neil Mitchell the city would put on a show.
“We know how important it is, we know what it means, and we are going to treat it with respect and put on a great show that everybody in the AFL community is proud of,” he said on 3AW.
