Peter Marshall had ‘favoured candidate’ that wasn’t Dan Stephens, says Nick McCallum
Peter Marshall was apparently ‘snubbed’ during the process that saw Dan Stephens appointed new MFB chief in a move that left the UFU boss “furious”, Nick McCallum said on 3AW Drive.
McCallum said Mr Marshall had a “favoured candidate” – a former union leader from Canada – who withdrew from the selection.
It’s believed Mr Stephens was then chosen without the consultation of Mr Marshall.
“So he’s furious,” Nick McCallum said on 3AW.
