Player power has ‘gone too far’ during trade period
Matthew Lloyd believes player power has “gone too far” as several high-profile players weigh up moves during the trade period.
The likes of Zach Merrett, Charlie Curnow and Christian Petracca are all exploring moves, despite being contracted to their respective clubs.
And Lloyd told 3AW Mornings it’s simply a sign that the power players and their managers wield may have gone too far.

“Players like never before are saying that they’re not happy and are happy to just break contracts,” he said on 3AW.
“I reckon player power has gone too far, and managers play such a big part in it.”
