Injured Hawk Jaeger O’Meara spoke to 3AW before the clash with Sydney.
The boom recruit spoke about the big decision involved in changing clubs, and offered some advice to Josh Kelly.
GWS gun Kelly is currently weighing up his own future, and O’Meara said he should try to block out as much external noise as possible.
“I switched my phone off for 24 hours and had that time to myself,” O’Meara said.
“Talking to the people that are closest to him is the most important thing.”
O’Meara also opened up about being a footballer on social media.
“You get the odd comment here or there but you just ignore it,” he said.
