It comes as the MRP deliberates on Monday over the weekend’s Preliminary Finals, despite there not having been any games on Sunday.
Ahead of the Grand Final, it would have benefitted Adelaide and Richmond to know if key players Rory Sloane and Trent Cotchin were facing suspension as early in the week as possible.
And an earlier MRP meeting would be useful for teams playing on a Thursday, who currently have to wait four days to find out if they will be sanctioned.
Christian said their assessment of this week’s incidents will not be influenced by the potential for players to miss a Grand Final.
