Peter Ford: Rebel’s giving her court money to charity

Eyebrows were raised yesterday when Rebel Wilson’s lawyers declared she was after nearly $7 million in damages after winning her defamation case against Bauer Media.

She had previously said it’s “not about the money”.

But this morning the Hollywood star made her intentions clear.

Her tweet: “And re: my defamation case win, any $’s I receive will go to charity, scholarships or invested into the Aussie film industry to provide jobs.”

She added that it’s because she takes being a role model very seriously.
