Police blast ‘appalling’ and ‘atrocious’ protest behaviour
Victoria Police is incensed by the conduct as the protests turned violent again in the city on Sunday.
Anti-immigration demonstrators collided with counter-protests, with police allegedly having rocks thrown at them.
First Constable Paul Hogan said police would have a zero tolerance policy on officers being targeted while trying to do their job.

“We witnessed appalling and atrocious behaviour by some of the protesters in town,” he said on 3AW Breakfast.
“We are not tolerant of those who break the law.”
