UPDATE
The tribunal has found Robbie Gray guilty of rough conduct.
He’ll miss round one with Port Adelaide losing $10,000 in their bid to have the suspension overturned.
EARLIER
Port Adelaide is challenging Robbie Gray’s suspension, in what will be the first test of the AFL’s new tribunal system.
Gray was given a one-match ban by the Match Review Officer for a high hit against West Coast at the weekend.
Unlike previous seasons, he does not risk an increased penalty should he be unsuccessful at the tribunal.
Port Adelaide will instead risk a $10,000 cost that will be included in their soft football department cap.
