Power recruit Jack Trengove admits he feared his career was over

Trengove, 26, was snapped up by the Power as a delisted free agent on Friday.

He told Sportsday he wasn’t sure he’d ever play at the top level again after being cut by the Demons in September.

“There’s no doubt those thoughts creep into your mind,” Trengove said on Friday.

“I was very grateful when I got the call.”

Trengove, who has played only seven games in the last three seasons due to injury, said his body is ready for the fight.

“Plenty of specialists and surgeons told me I may never get back to playing footy again,” he said.

“(But now) my body is feeling as good as it ever has.”
