Prominent lawyer ‘absolutely stunned’ by missing campers trial verdict
Prominent lawyer says he was “absolutely stunned” at the split verdict the jury delivered in the high-profile missing campers trial on Tuesday afternoon.
After over a week of deliberating, former pilot Greg Lynn was found to have murdered missing camper Carol Clay in March 2020, but he found not guilty of murdering fellow camper Russell Hill.
“I was absolutely stunned (at the verdict),” Mr Quill told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.

“If you told me a week ago that it was going to a be a split decision, I would’ve said you were crazy.”
The families of Carol Clay Russell Hill later released a statement, saying the families “were both relieved and devastated at the verdicts” which were handed down.
