Questions have been raised about the AFLW’s illicit drug policy, with players exempt from “strikes” for the second-year running.

The season kicks off next month.

“Hair-testing will take place, but no official strikes,” Mitch Cleary said on Sportsday.

“They can do whatever they want, but it’s only for monitoring purposes.”

However, Brownlow medallist Gerard Healy isn’t overly concerned.

“I think in time, when the game becomes more professional, they’ll come up with the policy,” he said.
