Reporter gives harrowing eyewitness account of confronting machete assault in St Kilda

Seven News reporter Paul Dowsley has given a harrowing eyewitness account of the confronting machete assault which occurred in St Kilda last night.

The victim is currently in hospital after his head was slashed with a machete during an attempted carjacking on Barkly Street.

“He’s a very lucky man, and a brave fellow to repeatedly refuse to give over your keys,” Dowsley said on 3AW Mornings.
