Richo and Shane McInnes on why shortening quarter lengths is too ‘simplistic and drastic’
The AFL Players Association are backing a push to shorten quarters back to COVID-era lengths as the game battles an injury crisis.
Shane McInnes says the move is too simplistic with Matthew Richardson agreeing with him.
“There is a bit of an injury crisis, but let’s get some more data on it before we start being as drastic as reducing the quarters … I don’t want to see a game being won 45-31, that’s not Australian Rules Football,” Richo said.
