Richo’s brutal assessment of the AFL’s ‘mickey mouse’ wildcard finals

Both Carlton and the Western Bulldogs won through the inaugural wildcard finals, only to be eliminated in the following week.

Their elimination final exits have raised questions over whether wildcard teams can genuinely challenge for the premiership.

“I can’t see a team winning from 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th now, I think it’s impossible,” Matthew Richardson said on 3AW Football.
