UK research has debunked the long-held theory eggs are bad for us and loaded with cholesterol.

It’s now claimed the health benefits off eggs far outweigh the bad and should be prescribed for conditions ranging from diabetes to memory loss.

Nutritionist Carrie Ruxton said eggs were a simple meal, loaded with protein.

“Instead of health professionals warning us off eggs, like they were in the 80s, we now need to be actively promoting them,” Dr Ruxton told Ross and John.
