Saints will support coach, not blame him, says Lethlean

St Kilda will continue to support Alan Richardson through this tough period.

The Saints slumped to their 14th loss of the season against the Bulldogs, highlighted by an eight-goal-to-zero third quarter.

But football manager Simon Lethlean says the coach is the right man to inspire the response.

“I’m confident that he’s the person to lead that,” Lethlean told Sunday Sport.

“If we don’t get the response in the next three weeks from some of the players, their feet are going to be in the flame as well.

“We’ve got enough faith in Richo for the next 12 months, to give him the best chance he has to make an impact.

“We’re going to support him, not look to blame him, and get the best people around him.”
