Sam Walsh suffers syndesmosis injury, needs surgery

Sam Walsh will miss at leas the first month of the season after suffering an ankle syndesmosis injury.

Carlton confirmed the bad news on Monday night.

The club said he suffered the injury while being tackled at training.

He needs surgery.

It’s shocking news for the Blues, with Walsh establishing himself as one of the star midfielders of the AFL last season.
