Seven players who need a big game on Friday night

Matthew Lloyd and Tony Shaw have identified seven players under pressure on Friday night.

Lloyd said Carlton players Jed Lamb, Sam Rowe, Jarrod Pickett, and Dale Thomas are playing for the careers.

Tony Shaw said Sam Gilbert, David Armitage, and Mav Weller are three Saints who are in the same boat.

Asked which club has the better list going forward, Lloydy said Carlton does.

He said the Blues have a solid nucleus of five or six players to build a team around.

After the game, Lloyd was asked by a caller if he still thinks the Blues have the better list.

Lloydy said the Saints’ 64-point win hasn’t changed his mind over the long term.

“I thought St Kilda would win. It wasn’t about tonight,” he said.
