Shane McInnes calls for more ‘flexibility’ in the AFL fixture

The fixture for the remaining rounds of the AFL season has received backlash, with Carlton and Essendon who sit outside of the top eight are featuring in a number of primetime slots.

On 3AW Football, Shane McInnes has called for the league to have more “flexibility” in their fixture.

“Surely the league can do better for fans and broadcasters,” McInnes said on 3AW Football.

“Thursday and Friday nights I shouldn’t be tuning and thinking this is crap.”
