Shawry explains Richo message

Tony Shaw has opened up on why he messaged Alan Richardson during the week.

Shawry sent the under-pressure St.Kilda coach a text message on Monday, urging him to “watch his back” among reported board unrest.

“I told him that if you get support, make it public,” he said.

“There were rumblings that players were talking behind his back.”

“The Saints are a very ordinary club.”
