There’s been a major spike in the number of serious crimes involving children aged 10 to 14 in Victoria and Sly says there’s an underlying issue that needs to be addressed urgently.

Victoria’s latest crime statistics reveal a staggering 86.7 per cent increase in burglaries committed by youths in the last year, with burglaries among 10 to 14-year-olds almost doubling.

Crime reporter John ‘Sly’ Silvester says Victoria should follow London’s lead and address an issue “we’ve got to deal with” in order to cut youth crime.
