St Kilda coach open to rule changes, on one condition

St Kilda coach Alan Richardson says he’s more than open to improving the AFL product but has warned against rushing new rules into the game.

Speaking on 3AW Football, Richardson said the Saints had trialled starting positions and zones at training and it was “clunky and awkward”.

“If they think things are that bad, then it’s got to be trialled a lot,” Richardson said.

“It was a really awkward look.

“It needs a bit of work, I reckon.”
