St Kilda great ‘struggling’ with effects of concussion as agent prepares legal action

AFL great Nicky Winmar is “struggling” with the effects of concussion, says a player agent preparing legal action against the AFL.

Winmar is among a group of retired AFL players planning to launch legal action over concussion-linked neurological impairments.

They’re preparing a Federal Court damages action against the AFL.

Player agent Peter Jess spoke with Tom Elliott on Monday.

“He’s struggling, which is really sad,” Mr Jess said of Winmar.
