Star Adelaide backman shuns free agency

Brodie Smith has turned his back on free agency.

The gun Adelaide rebounder has extended his contract until 2021.

Smith, who is originally from South Australia, would have been a free agent at the end of the year.

Smith injured his ACL in the 2017 finals series and may not feature in the senior team at all this season.

Adelaide is still yet to secure the future of star midfielder Rory Sloane.
