‘Strong word’ two clubs will get priority picks before first round

There’s “strong word” the AFL will hand Carlton and the Gold Coast priority picks at the start of this year’s draft, says Mick Warner.

It would leave the Blues with picks 1 and 4 and the Suns 2 and 5.

The Suns are also likely to be handed pick 3 for Tom Lynch as compensation for his departure.

“It would be an astonishing thing for the AFL to do,” Warner said on 3AW Football.
