Woolworths has removed knives and scissors from its supermarket shelves.

It comes after two people were stabbed at the Barkly Square supermarket on Monday.

Woolworths is reviewing store safety measures.

A shopper and security guard were allegedly stabbed in a random attack at Barkly Square Shopping Centre just after 8am on Monday.
