Suspended Magpie suffers injury setback

Jordan De Goey has suffered a hamstring injury.

It means the Collingwood midfielder, who was issued a club-imposed ban last month, is unlikely to be available for selection at the start of the season anyway.

De Goey was handed an “indefinite” suspension and forced to fork out $20,000 after he was caught drink-driving.

He suffered the injury while training with the Pies’ VFL squad.

It’s been described as a “minor” strain.
