Suspicious fire breaks out at popular South Yarra venue

A fire has broken out at another Melbourne licensed premises, marking three fires at three venues in as many days.

A dark car was seen leaving the Emerson building in South Yarra at about 4.30am.

3AW reporter Karalee Katsambanis told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen, filling in for Ross and Russel, “the roller door has been forcibly ripped up” and a “red jerry can left behind”.

It comes after an arson attack at The Albion Rooftop on Wednesday and a blaze at the Men’s Gallery in the CBD on Monday.
