Swans chairman comments on ‘difficult week’ after Bondi tribute controversy

It’s been a tough week for the Sydney Swans, with the club apologising for removing references to the Jewish community in the speech ahead of their Opening Round match against Carlton.

On Wide World of Sports, Sydney Swans chairman Andrew Pridham addressed the Bondi tribute script change controversy.

“It has been a difficult week but what’s been really pleasing is the support we’ve received from the Jewish community,” Pridham said.

“The message to us loud and clear is people are judging us on our actions, not our words, so we move forward.”
