‘Textbook genocide’: Neil Mitchell clashes with pro-Palestine spokesperson over claims

A Free Palestine spokesperson has clashed with Neil Mitchell following more pro-Palestine protests, including one at the Port Melbourne Docks, and a decision made by the Merri-Bek council.

Tasnim Sammak, from Free Palestine Melbourne, says the focus is to boycott companies aiding in Israel’s alleged genocide in Gaza.

“Genocide experts, including Holocausts experts – they’re saying what Israel is doing in Gaza is textbook genocide,” she said.

She also defended the decision by supporters of Palestine to blockade a ship with alleged links to Israel.

“When you disrupt them in our ports … as well in other places, when they’re loading – this will disrupt the company from being able to do what it does in supplying weapons to Israel,” she said.
