Richmond great Matthew Richardson has reflected on the life of commentator and former colleague Dennis Cometti, after his death at the age of 76.

The Tigers forward worked with Cometti on Channel Seven from 2010 to 2016, and told a “fascinating” story in the lead up to Richo’s first game calling for the network in Perth.

“I was so nervous,” Richardson told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.

Former Director of Football at 3AW during Dennis Cometti’s time at the station, Graeme Bond, had some high praise for the late commentator.

“He came to 3AW in very tough circumstances,” Mr Bond said.
