The AFL has responded to claims of racism in Adelaide on Saturday
AFL Chief Gillon McLachlan says the league is resolute in tackling racism, and calling incidents out.
A Port Adelaide member who vilified Crow’s forward Eddie Betts during Saturday night’s Showdown, has had his membership suspended indefinitely.
McLachlan says while the game’s come a long way, there are still isolated incidents.
‘We’re going to keep calling them out, we’re going to keep working with our supporters and our fans to work out how we educate everyone and how we deal with this issue in absolute terms.’
