The ‘big question’ Matthew Lloyd has asked amid big week for ‘broken’ Essendon

Essendon great Matthew Lloyd has addressed the big week at his former club, with multiple departures including head coach Brad Scott.

Lloyd thought it was the right call to move on Scott, and he’s addressed the talk around his former teammate James Hird, who is keen to return to the top job.

And Lloyd has asked a “big question” that club president Andrew Welsh needs to address in order to get the “broken” club back in the right direction.

“It is a broken club, and I believe that James (Hird) would galvanise the club more than any other coach,” Lloyd said on Sports Today.
