Essendon midfielder Nic Martin has spoken on the “biggest shift” he has seen since head coach Brad Scott arrived at the club.

The Bombers sit seventh on the ladder with four wins and two losses, with Martin telling Sam McClure and Matthew Lloyd on 3AW’s Wide World of Sports it’s been a “pleasant fortnight” since their heavy defeat to Port Adelaide.

He also shed light on his story of getting overlooked at the draft, what was behind his move to half-back and when Brad Scott told him, and how he sees the forward mix with Peter Wright set to return on Anzac Day.
