The Collingwood player Ash Hansen has likened Ollie Florent to heading into 2026

Carlton assistant coach Ash Hansen has spoken on the roles new recruits Ollie Florent and Will Hayward will play in 2026.

The former Swans were involved in the big trade to get star forward Charlie Curnow in the red and white.

And Hansen has likened Florent to a player out of Collingwood, and how Pies head coach Craig McRae utilised him in the side last season.

“He’s just got so much experience, I think he’s going to help us out of our back half,” Hansen said about Florent on Wide World of Sports.

The Blues assistant also spoke about the change in coaching structure, how the other new recruits will be utilised, how Jagga Smith and Sam Walsh are tracking, as well as answering questions on Elijah Hollands.
