The comment from Swans list boss Kinnear Beatson which caught Matthew Lloyd’s eye

Matthew Lloyd has questioned whether the AFL and general public have “gone soft” when assessing a young player’s physical condition, and in particular skinfold testing.

It comes after a comment made by Sydney Swans list boss Kinnear Beatson when asked about interviewing a young Clayton Oliver back in 2015 before the AFL draft.

“Have we gone too soft with the youth of today?” Lloyd said on Wide World of Sports.
