3AW’s Finance Guru says couples should work together when it comes to their finances.

Scott Haywood told 3AW’s Tom Elliott you shouldn’t leave it up to your partner to manage your finances, it should be a joint effort.

The ostrich effect means that when it comes to money they prefer to ignore the truth, which might be your partners business debt, personal debt, overdrafts etc.

“All the money stresses, all the superannuation balances … All an ostrich does is put its head in the sand.”
