The fiery footy debate which prompted Leigh Matthews to ring 3AW talkback line

Leigh Matthews has rung the 3AW talkback line after hearing Tony Shaw back up his stance on the bounce in footy.

Matthews told Channel 9’s Footy Furnace on Sunday night that he’s now in favour of scrapping the bounce, preferring to see umpires throw the footy up at all stoppages.

Shaw reiterated his thoughts on the topic on Monday, which promoted Leigh to ring in after listening to the discussion.
